A former America Idol finalist is facing charges of felony battery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and cocaine possession.

Fourth Season Idol finalist Jessica Sierra was arrested early Sunday morning in Tampa, Florida accused of hitting a man over the head with a heavy glass at a cafe.

Sierra was later released on $11,500 bail.

Sierra was considered one of the strongest singers in the season four competition by Simon Cowell, but in the end she finished in tenth place. Carrie Underwood was the eventual American Idol winner that season.
