Akon apologizes for humping 14 year old
Akon is finally speaking out about his humping a 14-year-old girl at a recent concert in Trinidad. The singer was video taped dancing very provocatively, ok he was just humping her, and now he's apologizing.
"First, and most important to me, I want to sincerely apologize for the embarrassment and any pain I've caused to the young woman who joined me on-stage, her family and the Trinidad community for the events at my concert in Port of Spain on April 12th.
It was never my intention to embarrass or take advantage of my fans in any way, especially those under the age of 18. That is why we tried to make sure that the club did not admit anyone under 18 in the audience. Somehow, that standard was not met.
Again, I apologize to those concerned and to all my fans and I pledge to all that we will strive to make sure this type of incident does not happen again."
Meanwhile, the apology came a day late for Verizon, who cut ties with the singer and, by extension, the tour with Gwen Stefani.

even if she wasnt 14, he still shouldnt treat ANY girl that way, i dont care if she's the same age as him or older. that's just nasty. she didnt kno that he was gonna do that to her and even if she was 30, she still wouldnt no that he was gonna do that 2 her. thats just nasty and very disrespectful to girls underaged and over 18. im 22 and if any guy i dont care who he is, did that to me i would be very pissed and emberassed.
