Extreme Makeover's Ty Pennington arrested for DUI
The host of ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Ty Pennington, was arrested over the weekend for driving under the influence of alcohol.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Pennington, was taken into custody shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Saturday by police in Los Angeles and charged with DUI.
The 42-year-old star was released just before 3 a.m. on $5000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on June 4.
Even though he is a carpender by trade, Pennington is most known as a reality TV star. He started on television in the series Trading Spaces before moving to Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Ty appeared as himself in this year’s hit comedy Wild Hogs and had a small role in the made-in-Toronto series Zoe Busiek: Wild Card in 2004.
