Miss USA falls short in Miss Universe pageant
It just wasn't Miss USA's night Monday during the Miss Universe pageant. Not only did she fall on her ass during the evening gown competition, but the Mexicans also booed her during the interview round.
Pageant organizers say the boos were not personally intended for Miss USA Rachel Smith, but instead were targeted at the US's policy on immigration along the Mexico border.
"I don't think they are booing because of Rachel," said Donald Trump, co-owner of the Miss Universe pageant. "They are booing because of the immigration policy."
As Miss USA stepped forward, the Mexicans in the crowd started booing and chanting Mexico, Mexico, Mexico.
Miss USA also fell right on her rump during the evening gown competition. Rachel made the cut and ended up in the top 5, but didn't take home the crown.
Miss Japan was the big winner Monday night!
