'Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End' breaks world box office records
'Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End' has beat the record for the biggest worldwide opening in history. In its first six days of release, Pirates of the Carribean has raked in a whopping $401 million.
"We knew that audiences all over the world were excited to see Johnny Depp and the rest of the fantastic Pirates cast in this latest adventure, but this record-setting response at the global box office has been nothing short of incredible," Walt Disney Studios spokesman Mark Zoradi says. "Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End now has the biggest opening in movie history, and we're extremely proud of that achievement."
The Walt Disney movie has already broken US box office records for the best Memorial Day weekend debut, making $142.1 million.
At World's End wiped out the previous record for best opening set by the release of Spider-Man 3 earlier this year, which made a total of $382 million in its first few days.

I like Spider-mam, I LOVE Pirates of the Caribbean!! The characters are insanely much more loveable. I only like Harry and Peter in Spider-man and since one is now gone there's not much more for me to love about Spider-man. But Pirates, I love All the characters, save for Elizabeth. Pirates is all around the better. Pirates all the way.

I didnt go see the last spiderman because I didnt want to waist my money, lol. My boyfriend and I were the first ticket buyers in our city for the 3 Pirates and we're not even huge fans of it, but I will say that this one was the best to us! I just wish they would have kept to the kids feel. My little sister can't see it and she's 11!

I really enjoyed the film but I felt that there was too much going on at the same time which made it confusing. I thought Keith Richards was great at the end. When you see multiples of Jack Sparrow in World's End I wondered whether children would understand that Jack was going mad and the fact it was his imagination. I am seeing it again and maybe I will notice things I missed out first time.
