Rosie and Elisabeth errupt on the View (with video)
Rosie O'Donnell and Elisabeth Hasselbeck are known for being arch rivals every morning of the View, then acting buddy-buddy when the cameras stop rolling. After Wednesday's intense fight over Iraq, the Rosie-Elisabeth friendship may be over for good!
Fellow co-host Joy Behar brought up a “factual” list of reasons why George Bush should be removed from office. Things got really heated as Joy went through her list and Elisabeth Hasselbeck began interrupting Behar. Here is the full video:
“I listened to you yesterday,” Joy said to Elisabeth demanding that she stop interrupting.
Hasselbeck continued to speak over Behar as she read the list, and that's when all hell broke loose as Elisabeth ended with “the enemy is in Iraq.”
“You just said our enemy is in Iraq . . . Did Iraq attack us,” Rosie probed Elisabeth.
“No,” Hasselbeck responded. “I’m saying Al Qaeda.”
Rosie said Republicans have suggested that she believed US troops were terrorists. As the discussion continued, the show put the two hosts up on a split screen view (pictured above).
As the fight got more heated, O'Donnell put Hasselbeck on the spot. That led to Elisabeth telling Rosie that she was no Donald Trump.
“No, no, no we’re not because we have a lot more time,” O’Donnell said as guest host Sheri Shepard tried to toss to commercial.
“That’s why I’m not going to fight with you anymore because it’s absurd, so for three weeks you can say all the Republican crap you want.”
“It’s much easier to fight someone like Donald Trump because he is obnoxious,” Elisabeth said as the audience gasped.
“I never fought him,” Rosie retorted. “He fought me. I told a fact about him. He didn’t like it.”
“I asked you if you believe what the Republican pundits were saying,” Rosie noted. “You said nothing and that was cowardly.”“Don’t call me a coward,” Hasslebeck exclaimed. “I sit here every day and open my heart and tell people exactly what I believe... It was not cowardly. It was honest... asking a rhetorical question? That is cowardly. I need a drink of water, let’s go to commercial.”
So much for taking it easy on Elisabitch, huh Ro?
Rosie O'Donnell will be leaving the show at the end of June blaming contract negotiations.

Rosie is such a fucking loudmouth bitch. I hope when she leaves the view that is the last we see of her in the media. Go away Rosie...

Elisabeth is a republican hand puppet... She gobbles anything her party throws at her and then goes around thinking it's the truth... Sad little thing, she is.

OMG. How old is Elisabeth! However much i don't agree with some things that Rosie says, you DO NOT interrupt people while they are speaking and you don't try to rebut everything the person is saying, while they're still TRYING to say it...
SUCH IMMATURITY.

Whatever the fuck! Rosie is such a piece of shit. She expects everyone she knows to defend her crude and ridiculous behavior! If she had a brain, she would have learned by now to keep her mouth shut! That was ridiculous!!

Elisabeth's response was okay for a co-host, but as a friend E let Rosie down. Rosie's intentions are clear when taken as a whole instead of edited.

I agree with Rosie 500%, Elisabeth looked really stupid. And notice that Rosie didn't raise her voice or use demanding gestures and Elisabeth got physically upset and started pounding her fist down. I personally believe what Rosie does and I think she's great!

Elisabeth was silly today. I am disappointed in the tone of the report here attackeing Rosie!!! EH was an embarrassment today. I think a lot of us have gone through the betrayal by a friend and it is weird how EH doesn't see her own bad behaviour.

The sad thing is, is that Rosie will just pop up in the future and it will not be for recieving an award for brilliance.
