Spiderman 3 breaks box office records
The new Spider-Man 3 movie is breaking records at the box office left and right!
Spider-Man 3 took in a record US$59 million (HK$460.2 million) in North American cinemas on opening day, breaking the previous all-time high of US$55.8 million for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest in its first day last summer.
Sony Pictures, the studio behind the Spider-Man franchise, also reported Saturday that the movie took in an additional US$45 million overseas Friday for a worldwide total of US$104 million, a record for single-day grosses globally.
Spider-Man 3, also smashed box-office records with $148 million in its first three days.
Kirsten Dunst and Tobey MacGuire have both said they will not return for a Spider-Man 4, but rumor has it the execs already have replacements in mind such as Mandy Moore to replace Dunst. I guess we'll see how that goes!

PLEASSSSSE don't make any more spiderman flicks. This should mark the end of an almost flawless trilogy. Don't screw it up like so many others have done before...

I agree. Let this be the amazing end. Spidey can pop up in the third installment of Fantastic Four or something, but give us at least a decade before you screw up the Spiderman franchise for us.

Spiderman 3 wasnt so good. It pretty much sucked compared to part 2. What i dont understand is how the hell it broke the records. maybe because of the hype. but seriously this movie kinda blew

As much as I would love to see more movies, I dont think they should make anymore, especially if they are not going to have macguire and dunst. I am a huge fan of these movies and the stories, but i feel this one marked the end of a great set of movies.
