George Washington Bridge jumper delays traffic
Commuters traveling between New Jersey and New York struggled to get in and out of the city via the George Washington Bridge on Friday morning.
Traffic was backed up in both directions for hours as emergency crews tried to talk a jumper down from the bridge.
Eye witnesses reported a person on the ropes used to anchor the bridge and archway. Fox News is reporting that the man has safely been removed from the bridge.
For you non-New Yorkers the George Washington Bridge, often referred to as the GWB, is one of the most popular throughways for busy commuters traveling from New Jersey to New York (and vice versa).
