Larry and Laurie David split
Hollywood power couple writer Larry David and his political activist wife Laurie separated on Monday after 14 years of marriage.
Their spokeswoman Heather Lylas said the split was amicable. Lylas told Reuters that Larry and Laurie "are completely committed to raising their two daughters," but she declined to say why the couple was calling it quits.
Larry David co-created the NBC hit television comedy "Seinfeld" and is also the star of the HBO series "Curb Your Enthusiasm," in which he plays himself as a television writer who shames his on-screen wife.
Laurie David is a longtime Hollywood activist and one of the producers of the Oscar-winning documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth," former Vice President Al Gore's appeal for action to halt global warming.
