It's not a matter of having good morales, but it's about journalistic ethics.

Did Telemundo newscaster Mirthala Salinas violate her viewer loyalty by screwing the mayor of Los Angeles Antonio Villaraigosa?  The network seems to wonder.  They have placed Salinas on 'leave' while they investigate.

"We will conduct this investigation with the utmost respect to personal privacy and journalistic standards," said Manuel Abud, the station's general manager.

The mayor's office has no comment.  Villaraigosa admitted he had been in an extramarital affair with newswoman Mirthala Salinas for about a year after his wife filed for divorce.  Salinas said she has done nothing wrong.
