Things have been rocky lately for Britney Spears and her mom Lynne, but Britney says she is asking the big G-O-D to help her mom out.

While spotted hanging at Epitome beauty and SHU Sushi on Sunday at the Beverly Glen Center in Los Angeles, Calif., Britney told reporters that she hopes for the best for Lynne.

“I’m praying for her right now. [I hope] she gets all the help she needs. In time, who knows what will happen?” Spears told reporters.

Mommy Lynne Spears, doing some shopping of her own in Kentwood, La., told PEOPLE:

 “Everything is going to be fine. I’ve got a strong family, and everything is going to be fine.”

Britney, of course, served her mom with papers last week warning her to stay out of Brit's life and to leave her kids alone!

Things are probably going to get nastier before they get better!
