Democrats to debate LGBT issues
Hillary Clinton and some of her democratic presidential contenders are making history this year as the first presidential candidates to ever publicly debate gay and lesbian issues.
Clinton will be joined by challengers Barack Obama, John Edwards and (hopefully) others for a debate that will air MTV's gay sibling, LOGO and live online at LOGOonline.blog.
The debate was put together by LOGO and Human Rights Campaign. It will take place on August 9th at 9pm ET (6pm PT) in Los Angeles.
While the republican party pushes away the gay community to fight for the 'Christian right wing base,' the democrats are banking on the Year of the Gay!
This LGBT debate is definitely a step forward for equal rights!
I bet Rudy Guiliani wishes he was invited. The former New York City major is the only candidate running for president in 2008 who openly supports gay marriage and equal rights for the LGBT community.
That might all change after this eye opening debate!
