"General Petraeus or General Betray us?" ad draws controversy

Moveon.org has done it again by pushing the envelope with an ad in the New York Times that accuses Gen. David Petraeus of "cooking the books for the White House" on progress being made in Iraq and calls him "a military man constantly at war with the facts."

Politicos on both sides of the isle are whining about the attack.

White House spokesman Tony Snow called the ad, running the same day the general testified before Congress about Iraq, a "boorish, childish, unworthy attack."   While Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid expressed his frustration Monday as well.

Word broke this morning that Moveon.org may also target Democrats who support the war, as they should.

I think new media has put politicians in a seat where they have never sat before.  Anything goes.  Nothing is taboo and previous traditions that have shielded politicians who make bad decision no longer exist.

Therefore, they will bitch.  Boo-freakin'-hoo!
