Rapper TI wins BET awards from jail

Too bad they didn't have time to set up a satellite from jail so that rapper TI could accept his BET Hip-Hop Awards on Saturday.
The rapper, born Clifford Harris, was picked up by undercover federal agents in Atlanta, Georgia, where TI evidently tried to purchase illegal machine guns and silencers.
Consequently, that same night TI was nominated for the more BET Hip-Hop honors than any other artist. He won two of those awards.
This, of course, isn't TI's first run in with the law. The performer was sentenced to three years in prison for a probation violation on a drug conviction in 2004, but served only part of his sentence.
