Whoopi Goldberg calls for Al Sharpton to apologize
While Al Sharpton is asking Isiah Thomas to apologize over his sexual harassment accusations after the Knicks coach lost $11.6 million for his employers in a sexual harassment suit for misconduct in the workplace, the View moderator Whoopi Goldberg is giving him a taste of his own medicine.
Whoopi wants Sharpton to apologize to the Duke lacrosse players who filed a lawsuit against former District Attorney, the city of Durham, N.C., and 12 other defendants saying that they “knew that these [rape] charges were completely and utterly unsupported by probable cause, and a total fabrication by a mentally troubled, drug-prone exotic dancer whose claims, time and again, were contradicted by physical evidence, documentary evidence, other witnesses, and even the accuser herself.”
Sharpton is calling for a Knicks boycott if Thomas doesn't apologize by Friday. Whoopi didn't put a timeline on her apology demand.
