Actor John Berg, who appeared on "House M.D." and "Monk" was found dead in his Van Nuys home according to wire reports on Monday.

The cause of death was not immediately released, but an autopsy will be completed.

Berg's body was discovered shortly before 1 p.m. on Sunday.  Authorities evidently found the 58-year old actor dead when they went to his home on a "welfare check."
