Stars shine at Critics Choice Awards

The stars must have seen the cancellation of the Golden Globes coming, because they all showed up for the 13th annual Critics Choice Awards on Monday night.

Without a picket sign in sight, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Katie Holmes, George Clooney and others got their taste of award show season before it was all wiped out!

Why doesn't the strike affect the Critics Choice Awards? These awards are presented by the Broadcast Film Critics Association and are not covered by Writers Guild contracts, so unlike the Globes, the show can go on.

As for the awards No Country for Old Men was named best picture while the film's bad guy, Javier Bardem, captured best supporting actor. The cast of "Hairspray" and its breakout star, Nikki Blonsky, also took home Critics Choice Awards.

Is there any hopes of this stike ending any time soon?
