Barack Obama wins Democratic primary in Mississippi
As expected, Barack Obama has captured the Mississippi Democratic presidential primary.
Tuesday's contest was the latest in a string of racially polarized contests across the Deep South.
This was Obama's last chance to try and pick-up some delegates before next month's high-stakes race with Hillary Rodham Clinton in Pennsylvania.
Hillary leads polls in Pennsylvania substantially, and the New York Senator is expected to win that state since she is dominating traditional democratic states and primaries held in that part of the country.
Obama continues to win primaries in traditional Republican states.
