Gay marriage ban lifted in Connecticut

BREAKING NEWS

It IS a great day for gays in Connecticut. The state's Supreme Court has JUST ruled that same sex couples should have the right to marry!

The court ruled 4-3 to overturn a ban on same sex marriage in the state! The divided court decided that gay and lesbian couples cannot be denied the freedom to marry under the state constitution, and Connecticut's civil unions law does not provide those couples with the same rights as heterosexual couples.

The justices overturned a lower court's decision by ruling in favor of the four plaintiffs who said they were discriminated against because they were denied marriage licenses for being gay.

Connecticut will now become the third state to allow same-sex marriage behind Massachusetts and California.

Congratulations to all you CT homos! Go get married, why don't ya!
