Nick Jonas Pittsburg Pride

Nick Jonas is coming out for Pittsburgh Pride this weekend.  The Jealous singer will be stepping in for Iggy Azalea who canceled her appearance earlier this week.

“We’re thrilled to announce that multi-platinum selling recording artist and actor Nick Jonas is the new headliner,” the organization tweeted.

The announcement came two days after Iggy Azalea canceled her June 13th appearance amid claims that she sent homophobic tweets caused a few groups to cancel their involvement in the gay pride celebration.

“When I heard about the difficult position Pittsburgh Pride was in just days before their event, I knew I had to find a way to help,” Jonas said in a statement. “I’m excited to do what I can to support the LGBT community in Pittsburgh, and I look forward to seeing you this Saturday as we celebrate together.”

Nick has been a long-time support of the gay community even recently showing in various venues to promote his first solo album.

General admission tickets are on sale for $35, while reserved front row tickets cost $150.  Tickets are available at www.pittsburghpride.org.
