Fashion Police is returning to E! this August with a new co-host.  Variety is reporting that Melissa Rivers will be stepping into the role previously held by her late mother Joan Rivers.

Melissa is already an executive producer on the show.  She will be joined by last season’s co-hosts Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski.  Kathy Griffin and Kelly Osbourne quit the show earlier this year.

“As an executive producer since the beginning, Melissa helped shape ‘Fashion Police’ into an iconic TV series that couples fashion with comedy,” said Jeff Olde, exec VP of programming and development for E!. “We are pleased to now also feature Melissa in front of the ‘Fashion Police’ cameras, as she joins returning panelists Giuliana and Brad. And with the added flavor of rotating panelists, the show will deliver fresh, different and unpredictable fashion reviews with each new episode.”

Rivers commented, “I’m very excited to be given the opportunity to continue to work with my E! and ‘Fashion Police’ family.”

The show has also decided to open up two rotating guest host positions who will join the three regular co-hosts for each episode of Fashion Police.
