If you missed last year’s DragCon do not worry Drag Race fans. World of Wonder has announced the 2nd Annual RuPaul’s DragCon will be held in Los Angeles May 7 and 8 2016. The Huffington Post reveals this year’s convention is supposed to bring in tens of thousands of people to LA to celebrate the art and style of drag and is said to be more wild than the first.
RuPaul released the following statement :
“RuPaul’s DragCon is the place to find your tribe. For all the super creative and super sensitive people out there who live in a world that says that you’re too much or that you don’t fit in, DragCon says, ‘Welcome home, baby.’”
Queens from all seven installments of RuPaul’s Drag Race will be attending including Raja, Katya, Ivy Winters, Chad Michaels, Alyssa Edwards, Alaska, Tammie Brown, Trixie Mattel, Laganja Estranga, Jujubee, and Detox. Several more are expected to show up. The Huff Post reports that there will be 100 vendors and exhibits, panel discussions covering the spectrum of queer identity and performance and autograph meet and greet sessions with all the Drag Racers.
Fans can purchase a pre-sale 2 day weekend pass for $50.00 and choose other add-ons such as a Gift Bag ($60) which includes a commemorative poster, hoodie, program and button or the WOW Presents ($100) which allows access to the Preview Night and early floor access. Also fans will be able to partake in an exclusive round table Q & A session with WOW Presents Talent, be able to get in priority lanes for Autograph Alley and have the opportunity to sit in a priority section for all WOW Presents panels.
