Ian Resiner, who is still trying to clear up his controversial dinner with anti-gay Republican Presidential candidate Ted Cruz, has done it again.  This time he is quoted in the New York Magazine calling the gay community “cheap” and “entitled.”  This time his former business partner and long-time New York nightlife figure John Blair decided to sound off on Facebook about Reisner’s comments.

Gay hoteliers apologize for Ted Cruz event, boycott continues

Ian Reisner (pictured above) and Mati Weiderpass are begging for forgiveness after co-hosting a dinner for Senator Ted Cruz at their Manhattan home after members of the LGBT community called for a boycott of some of the businesses the two men own such as the OUT hotel and a portion of the Fire Island Pines resort.

Earlier this week a reception for Republican Presidential hopeful Ted Cruz was held at the home of Mati Weiderpass [pictured above] and Ian Reisner, two prominent gay hoteliers in New York City.  Now, members of the LGBT community are calling for a boycott of such gay hot spots as the Out Hotel and the Fire Island Pines.  That’s because Cruz has taken such an anti-gay stance while Weiderpass and Reisner are owners of these gay destinations.

gaysocialites.blog can exclusively report that Steve Sidewalk’s long-running Gay College Tuesdays party in New York City is coming back after a short hiatus.  Over the past two years the event has been known for attracting such guests as Nick Jonas, the Warwick Rowers and a whole slew of RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants.  Starting on March 3rd, Gay College Tuesdays kicks off at it’s new home, the Ritz Bar & Lounge in Hell’s Kitchen.

DJ Steve Sidewalk is moving his Gay College Tuesday party to Shadow Boxers in NYC

DJ and promoter of the Gay College Tuesdays party in New York City, Steve Sidewalk, announced on Facebook this week that his party is moving from its current venue at BPM Nightclub to another Hell’s Kitchen hot spot next month.
