Queer transgender legend Justin Vivian Bond, like many activists, is not taking the Rentboy.blog bust lightly, saying, among much else, that “There is a movement happening and many organizations creating Know Your Rights seminars this week. This is about workers’ rights–labor rights and equal protections for all kinds of workers without basic access to legal and healthcare support because they are deemed criminals or denied access to banking, housing or Facebook, in all sectors of the Adult industry, not just escorts. On Monday night the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 7 was announced on LOGO.  All of this season’s queens gathered for extended episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race that picked “America’s Next Drag Superstar.”

The final three contestants, Ginger Minj, Violet Chachki and Pearl, were joined by the rest of the RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 7 cast to look back at the season before the winner was announced.

Cabaret Review: Courtney Act

I was Team Bianca before the season even started, but Miss Courtney Act was one of the more charming discoveries in the latest season of Drag Race. In her cabaret act Boys Like Me, Act reaffirms the perception that she is a real pro of a performer, a real pleasure to spend some time with, even if she’s not an innovator like Jinkx Monsoon, or a crazed genius like Bianca del Rio.

Jonathan Warman directing reading of Broadway-bound musical “The Happy Hooker”

Jonathan Warman will direct a reading of the Broadway-bound new musical The Happy Hooker, which will be presented October 7 at The Cutting Room in Manhattan.

First published in 1971, Xaviera Hollander’s memoir The Happy Hooker: My Own Story (co-written with Robin Moore and Yvonne Dunleavy) has now sold over 20 million copies.
